Yup, pretty much!

Ultra-conservative Christian groups like One Million Moms (whose numbers are actually closer to One Thousand Moms, but they like to pretend there are more of them) have a weird perspective when it comes to protecting their children. They’re trying to get people to boycott Marvel and DC Comics due to an upcoming gay wedding and a superhero coming out, respectively.

To them, two people in love getting married is an abomination, but they never complain about the violence in comics, movies, games and the real world. They’re worried that kids will see gay people being happy and will magically become gay themselves. You know, like how kids see superheroes flying and shooting laser beams from their eyes and they’re suddenly transformed into Superman. Of course. That’s how it works.

Who cares if your kid comes out as gay? It’s your child, it’s your duty to love them unconditionally. Otherwise you are a SHITTY PARENT and you don’t deserve to have children. Wouldn’t it be simply HORRIBLE if gay people would treated equally and with the same respect offered to heterosexual people, instead of being treated like abhorrent deviants? (Spoiler alert: no, it would not be horrible. That would be wonderful, actually. Everyone deserves to be treated equally.)

Maybe their kids would prefer being protected from their bigoted, hateful, idiotic parents. The world would be a happier place if those awful scumbags never existed.

This is my second post about gay marriage and I’ve only been here for like a week, but this was something I just had to share.

Hey, bigoted homophobic scumbags! If you’re campaigning to make gay marriage illegal because it “threatens the sanctity of marriage”, the last thing you should do is engage in a bit of casual adultery yourself.

In case you weren’t aware, cheating on your spouse does far more damage to the so-called sanctity of marriage than allowing two people who love each other to have that bond recognised by the state, regardless of their gender or sexuality.

Then again, if you feel the need to cheat on your husband or wife, you probably aren’t aware of exactly what this “love” thing is.

Idiots.

Bravo to the gay and lesbian community of Minnesota for sending that brilliant letter.
